The Modern School is set up by a registered society, Ojasvi Sansthan. This society comprises of a group of enterprising people, who have considerable experience in education and are recognized for 'professional development initiatives' for teachers. The Modern School is set up with a purpose to establish educational institution in Barmer that would successfully integrate academic excellence with an emphasis on value education and respect for our rich cultural heritage

A. Inspiration for our school 

We at the modern have created a curriculum that is rich in curiosity and imagination. This is reinforced by a learning environment that encourages a student's growth through not just theoretical education but also its practical applications.

B. Our Curriculum 

The Modern School with English as a medium of instruction follows the curriculum guidelines and syllabus laid down by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). The school is affiliated with CBSE New Delhi. 

The Modern School syllabus is built on a rich foundation of reading, writing, and arithmetic. That foundation is then layered with History, Science, Music, Geography, and the Arts to ensure no gaps in instruction. The time-tested curriculum is built on the principle of subject integration. Topics that lend assistance to each other irrespective of the Subject catering diverse intellectual groups. This reinforced study across subject areas develops higher-order thinking skills and promotes content mastery.

C. Online Education 

The school has its own online education platform and mobile application for Android and IOS. It is committed to provide digital education and a hybrid environment of learning. Our online learning platform has vast features including online tests and assessments.

D. Assessment 

To ensure ongoing learning without anxiety and fear an approach of holistic assessment will be observed using variety of tools. Continuous assessment will cover both scholastic and non-scholastic aspects of pupil's growth including health status, attitudes, aptitude, interests, personal and social qualities, proficiency in co-curricular activities and academic competence.

E. Promotion 

1. Promotions are based on the academic and behavioral conduct of the student throughout the year and also on the performance in terminal examinations. 

2. A student must obtain minimum of grade D in all subjects under scholastic areas. 

3. The Principal reserves the right to detain students with-

            (a) Irregular attendance 

            (b) Unsatisfactory progress in studies 

            (c) Unfair behavior and conduct in common 

          (d) Minimal participation in co-curricular activities and defaulter in fee payments. Honesty, cleanliness, good manners and loyalty are expected from every child. Anyone not conforming to the school ideals may after due notice to the parents be asked to leave.
